Varnishing went real nice. It really brings the grain out in the wood. I installed footbraces before putting the two halves together. It was in my opinion, much easier and faster. I did lot of measuring from my plastic yak.
The ice fishermen are still using their 4-wheelers on the ice. Ice will most likely be here for 2-3 weeks yet. Just right for finishing up. For awhile I thought I was going to have to install an icebreaker to the bow.
