To all, Yes it is an expedition single. Nick shade design Guillemot kayaks. The woods are western red cedar,Eastern white cedar, And sitka spruce. The skeg seemed to be made a little complicated because of the bead and cove. It was hard to keep from breaking the cove when fitting the strip because of the twist. I used alot of 1/2 inch strips because I wanted the strips to lay on the forms. i found I only needed 2 cheater strips, on the stem and 1 on the stern. I was very concerned on the finishing off of the skegs. I just kept in mind that I was going to use an external stem. I kept it as neat as possible and took nicks advise. I just took the plane to the stems in the last two nights. The stem took 12 minutes to shape. The stern took about 15 min. If you look back abot two weeks you'll find what he had to say in response to my post striiping expedition stem forms. Once the outer stem goes on it is going to be a nice detail. I'm using ash and the light stripe will run right into it.
Happy building, Elliott
