Roger, Yes bead down cove up. It was working out great until last night trying to fit the last three strips in. I did'nt have much time so I made #3,#2 and realised #2 was going to take a little time. So much for 5 min per joint. Ha Ha. As far as the tapers were concerned(I imagine that is what you are talking about) By the second one it was smooth paddling. The only hold up I think is being extra careful when you twist the stem and stern pieces at the skegs, if you are not careful when twisting your strip you may blow out the cove on the previous one. Its not all over if that happens though, once you get your strip in place just glue the little piece back on and tape it down with painters tape or masking tape. I like the painters tape better as I feel it has less sticky stuff and comes off easier.
