: can i
: get a flower pattern and just print it out on my printer onto rice paper
: and then laminate w/ raka? will the color run? or should i go with option
Brett,
I used the rice paper to put my designs under the fiberlass during the wet out of the hull. I first printed them on my printer and the enlarged them on a copier machine. I ran some tests and had good results and it appeared that it would not run. I then placed 3 of these on the hull with no problems but for some reason the 4th one ran a liitle. I think that is because I put too much epoxy on that one during the wet out. From a distance you can't really tell but it was enough to make me upset. If you run some tests make sure you try it vertically as the flow of epoxy downward is what caused the weeping of the edges giving it a fuzzy edge. I also had to tape the rice paper to regular paper in order for it to feed through the copier or printer.
