: You bet! PPG clear coat Concept is great and will last a very long time.
: Costs a bit tho.

We have ours done with PPG Stratoclear. The body shop charges us between $200 and $275 per boat. We just bring it in all sanded and it is done in one day. Drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon, paddle any time after that. No mess, no fuss, no need to clean up the shop. Way more UV protection than any varnish and much tougher. The stuff is water clear, so the wood grain really shows. But, sand carefully. The minor imperfections that you can barely see after sanding will jump out at you with this kind of finish.
