I just used the epoxy mud to take care of installation. The nuts and tape were screwed onto the rails with a piece of plywood and plastic in-between. Goop was put on the back of the nut and tape that was pressed into the plastic covered plywood. Then the rail was pressed onto its spot with a brick. When cured the rail was unscrewed, plywood and plastic removed, rail re-installed. Of course trying to attach a screw at the far reaches of a cockpit is awkward but it doesn't have to be tightened hard since the rail is keyed onto 3/8" nuts.
