Hi Elliott;

Far and away the best stuff I have found is

Catskill's Butcher Block Oil
Catskill Craftsmen, Inc.
15 West End Avenue
Stamford, NY 12167

It is essentially FDA approved linseed oil, and leaves a wonderful hand-rubbed finish just like the hardware store stuff, but without any toxic components (Not like a part per billion of chromium is especially toxic anyway, but I guess it's not politically correct to eat that stuff these days . . . :))

It sold for some ridiculously cheap price like $2.50 postpaid a few years ago in an 8oz size. I could use a few more bottles, so if you inquire of them, please post the current cost with shipping. It's great for hand-rubbing rifle stocks as well . . .

Best Regards, Spidey
