Hi Scott, this is a step worth some time. You need a smooth and rounded edge so that the fiberglass will lay flat when you wet it out over the hull. On my first boat I ended up with some sharp edges where the deck and hull meet and this resulted in air gaps under the glass because it did not want to conform to the sharp angle.

I have recently glued the hull and sheer seams of my Artic Tern 14 and I am
: in the process of rounding them. How particular do I need to be about
: feathering in the excess epoxy into the wood panels? Does it need to be
: COMPLETELY feathered down (like autobody work) or just have the high spots
: taken out?

: Thanks!
