In Response To: Re: String Marking Of Strongback (Ben Staley)

: Ditto to Ray's comments, I spent a lot of time aligning my forms and
: stressing about it and then after I had a few strips on it was very easy
: to see what forms weren't quite right. I unscrewed them from the
: strongback and lined them up by eye and screwed them back down. Next time
: I will line everything up as close as possible and then wait till after
: the shear and maybe 2 more strips are on before doing a final tuning.

: I found it helpful to drill alignment holes on each form 3 inches either side
: of center and level with the DWL line. I ran a string line through these
: and found it easier than trying to figure out the alignment with a string
: line outside the forms.

: Have fun!

Ben I think I have seen the inside string technique used in someones picture here. It seems like a good idea. 1/8 inch hole big enough? Thanks for responding you guys are great!
