: I found out, after a 3/4 finished paddle, that my table is not flat. It's a

: Should I finish it? Has anybody done that and noticed it in use? All I have

Hi Don

O.K., so it won't fit in the micro-wave, but.... What I did when bending the 3/4" x 1" sticks for my Walrus was to take some hand towels and getting them very damp, but, NOT dripping wet and stick them in the Micro-wave for about 2 or 2 1/2 minutes and when it comes out it will be very hot and steamy and then wrap them around the shaft of the paddle. Set the paddle on some cans or something and the weight of the towels alone, with the hot towels should sag it down to the original position. Watch it that it doesn't go too far. :) Redwood should bend VERY easily.........Uh, as you've discovered. Good luck!
