: John,

: I have no way of posting pics. I am going to use a design similar to one of
: Joe Greenley's. Keeping it moderately simple. I'd just take a look at web
: sites and other photo sources for ideas.

: Jim - Glassed the hull over the weekend and it came out perfect..

Posting pictures is pretty simple.

First you take the picture. You can use a disposable camera if you don't already have a camera.

Take your film to your photofinisher and ask about having a photo CD made. You can have this done in additon to the prints, or instead of the prints.

The cost of a CD is usually under $10. You might want to have several rolls of film combined on one CD. If you have older pictures you would like to share or to store in this format consider having this done in batches.

Go on the internet to www.photopoint.com. They will set up a free account for you and give information on how you can upload the digital file from the CD to thier site. Once it is on their computer it has a (reasonably) permananent address on the Internet, a unique URL. (Uniform Resource Locator) Photopoint shows you how to check this URL. Once you have this information, just pop it into the text of the message you type to us. Or, there is a box at the bottom of the reply form where you can include the URL. Is is labeled Optional Image URL. Careful, though. The box already has the prefix "http://" in it. You only need that part in once. The most common cause of failure is the duplication of these words by people who copy and paste their complete URLs -- and include this information too.

Anyhow, you don't need a scanner or a fancy camera, just a few minutes of time and a few dollars. Your local camera store or photofinisher will help you do the rest. Or, just let us know you have prints and someone on this board who has a scanner will certainly be happy to scan your pics and post them for you. Just ask for help here an you'll get some.

And then you can share your results with us.

Hope this helps
