I think that the CA Expedition would be a better boat for me than the CA Storm due to it's greater carrying capacity and potential for speed. I'm in Baltimore and plan to use whatever boat I end up building for camping trips on the Chesapeake Bay and other places where I would have to bring my own supply of fresh water. After three trips to Assateague Island in my Pygmy Osprey HP, I realized I'd need a larger boat, preferably one that's more maneuverable with a load. I like to paddle little creeks, and I have to bust a gut to get the HP to turn. With 70 lb. of gear aboard, the the difficulty of turning increases exponentially. The Expedition, with it's rocker and hardened chines aft of the cockpit, would seem to offer lots of capacity for stuff and a better response to a leaned turn. I could carry more cake and maybe eat more of it too. While I'm on the subject of high volume maneuverable boats-any body out there have and wisdom regarding the Redfish Spring Run? Seems like it could be a contender too.
