Hi Don

I don't know about your dog, but, if Mine was going along she would want to be in the same boat. I would think that a dog would be too restless just sitting back there in it's own boat. Moving around and altering direction slightly with leaning ( provided it didn't capsize ) and affect your steering of your own boat. Were it me, I would lengthen your favorite boat a foot or so, or build a high volume boat and open the cockpit into a double-open setup. That way, you can keep the dog in front of you, and calm it down if it becomes restless. You probably won't be getting too wild and crazy with the dog along so shouldn't need the knee/thigh braces. ?? That's one possibility and I'm sure there are others.
