Congrats on finishing the stripping! thats a major milestone.

I used a standard plane for most of the outside and then a fairing board, along with a little ROS where some more horsepower was necessary. I didn't get much tearout even around the decorative strips as long as I kept the plane at an angle to the strip.

On the inside of the boat I found that a round scraper with a big burr worked great. I was able to scrounge some stainless disks from work and would be happy to send you a selection if you would like. I posted a picture of these a while back.
