I started out using glass in the fillet at the base of the coaming. I've since switched to dookie schmutz made of epoxy, cabosil and wood flour. This is easier than the glass. I make an approximately 1/2" radius. I then immediately glass over it while it is still wet.

: I am trying to understand,,, and get all of my ducks in a row before I start
: laying strips on the deck. I have a question about the radius at the base
: of the coaming. I thought I read in past messages that strips and scraps
: of glass cloths were kind of push in around the area where the coaming
: meets the deck and soaked with epoxy and radiused with a radius tool,
: board, etc. If that is correct it seems it would be a bumpy wavy blob of a
: radius, but could be sanded into a nice radius. Also, does this radius
: become a wetted look (see through) when finished. And finally, is this
: radius, in a last step, radiused with a thickend epoxy mix to smooth
: things out? I am thickend on this one. Thanks
