It's a good thing if you can wet mop your shop just
before painting or varnishing. Use the old fashioned string
type mop and don't wring it out. That way you won't
stir up dust as you walk around the boat. If your shop is dirt
or sawdust floored, lightly spraying water from a hose might
work. Closing doors and windows helps keep wind
from entering and stiring things up, but that
has to be balanced against the fumes you'd breathe.
