: We had a day in the 60s yesterday but I choose to lay up a longbow in my new
: form instead of breaking the deck off the form and scrapeing it out. Too
: many hobbys, not enough time!

: Looks like I need to pick it up a notch to make the launch date! When is that
: date anyway? Just as my projects get large enough to really cramp my work
: space I get bogged down it seems with other stuff.

Hoping for mid february for the launch but I'm sure I won't have all of the details done by then.

Got the deck inside glassed last night, the last side and I feel like I finally am beginning to understand how to fiberglass. Guess thats why you build a second boat!

I did something dumb though that I should have known better. After a good wetout, just as I was leaving the basement last night I put my droplight under the freshly glassed deck and left it on thinking it would help the cure but of course it encouraged the trapped air to expand and I got some bubbles right in that spot. I'll have to lightly sand them when dry and see about another light coat in that spot.

What was that about learning from others mistakes???
