The bomar hatches work just fine. I installed an 8" bomar hatch in the rear buikhead of my Coho. Quick, watertight, and relatively inexpensive - just make sure to drill a small hole (1/16" or so) to prevent pressure buildup on hot days. While I placed the hatch in a flat panel, it would be pretty easy to build up a pad for use on curved panels using epoxy and wood flour. The hatch is pretty heavy for its size, and kind of homely in an otherwise all wood boat. Best of luck - BruceK
