: Can anyone point me to a source for cove and bead strips in the Seattle WA
: area? I know that Flounder Bay Boat Lumber up in Anacortes carries them,
: but was hoping to find something a bit closer.

I got my strips from Dennis O'Brien of Marah Wooden Boats in Marysville,WA. You can get to his web site by going through the SEE-Kayak Directory below. I was very happy with the strips. He did a nice job on the bead and cove. He has them in bundles with a variety of cedar colored shades includung some very light accent strips. There was more than enough strips in the bundle to make my Guillmot. I'm going to getting another batch from him soon for my next kayak. Dennis is also a good guy to talk to about building.
