Here's a thought for the back burner. Joe Greenley at Redfish says he is working on a design for a hybrid with harder chine amidships and aft for carving turns, a la Mariner Kayaks. Joe is in the process of moving from Boise to God's Country, so don't hold your breath, but if his other designs are any indication, this one will be a real beauty.
