Two Freud Diablo 7-1/4" blades, 1/16" kerf, <$10 each at Home Depot, currently on third boat. I cut strips a frog's hair oversize, then plane to 1/4". With careful setup, strips are useable right off the saw without planing.

: More and more builders are using 7 1/4 inch blades in their 10" saw for
: ripping strips. They can make a 7 1/4" blade much thinner than the 10
: inch - so it will automatically be less strain on your saw etc. Almost any
: cheap $12. or so carbide tipped thin kerf blade will work great.Thinner
: the better. Get one with a good amount of tips.
