Gosh, never thought of that. They are smaller than sealskins, but a few more and a few more seams. But they are aquatic and have oily skin. There are thousands of them around here. With the poor fur market, hardly anybody traps them anymore (I haven't for about 8 or 10 years). Time to dig out the old Conibears and snares and give it a try! On second thought, I might have almost enough of them in the freezer.

BTW, I am serious about trying this. I have a traditional frame that I built a few years ago, just needs new ribs.
