Yet Another Walrus Question

Hi everybody,

I have seen several references lately to software for designing kayaks and wondered if anyone has taken the Walrus offsets in the Putz book, or the original Skene numbers, and input them into a design program to come up with panels for the hull that may be simply stitched. That would (may) cut down on the cost and time involved in setting up the forms. The deck could be built as a curved one, or a frame set up for a peaked deck - heck if one knew what he was doing with the software, he'd be able to come up with offsets for the deck, too.
Anyway, just curious.

Had another odd thought today. I noticed the crosswalk lines had been repainted... Anyone know what that paint is? Must be pretty durable stuff.Would it be suitable as a sealant for a skin on frame?

you don't need software for this
