Hi Eric,

In my experience, the epoxy/varnish system is more durable than only epoxy or only varnish. As you know, epoxy has poor UV resistance. I've also found that just varnish is not as watertight as epoxy, so the "symbiotic" combination seems to work great.

: The customer wants me to epoxy-fiberglass the hull to make it watertight.

Make sure the boat is very dry before epoxy coating so you don't get any dry rot under the epoxy.
