: Ever since spidey got talking about applying varnish with a rag. I had to try
: it. I started to test it on a paddle, I was not impressed with first few
: coats, and almost gave up and brought out the brush. but after careful wet
: sanding and more coats its starting to turn out fantastic. I've only
: applied 4 coats so far, very quick and easy. No runs, don't have to worry
: about dust settling, very very shiney. :)

: Speaking of spidey, where was he been hiding?

: Derek

Is the unhappiness due to the initial thinness of coats requiring more coats to reach a nice shine and protective level?

PS. Hopefully Spidey is off paddling his yak!
