I put the one piece rubber ones on, before laminating the blades. Just round the shaft off enough to get them on. Heat them in hot water if they are too stiff. Looks a little funny, and they are in the way for extended paddle use, but they work well.

: Anybody have a design for drip rings on a greenland style paddle (that work)?
: Greenland kayakers apparently didn't have any and either just accepted
: getting wet as part of doing business or had a paddling technique for
: avoiding water running back down the blade.
