Yes I saw you earlier post, and the thread that ensued. That was one of the reasons, I looked into other coatings than the Snow Roof that I had on hand. I am leaning towards something that will be translucent, and the like the lack of color in the water-based urethane. My leftover Raka epoxy would be nice except that I would have to do something for UV protection. I may try it out later on another kayak, I do plan on making a few more. After playing with the Arctic Tern 14, I think I want (need?) a short playboat, for tidal currents, wind and waves.

I do appreciate your input, I'm sure I will do some tests when I mix up some epoxy sometime soon.
