In Response To: Making a Cormorant 16 fit the plywood (Jonathan Hirsch)

: Hi
: I want to make a Cormorant 16 using sheets of 2500x1220 gaboon ply.
: According to my calculations the hull side panels are of the Cormorant are
: 4974mm long (195 7/8" -1/32").
: But after I scarf the gaboon ply I will end up with a max. lenght of 4968mm
: (4mm ply, 32mm scarf).
: Is this correct, if so I think the best thing to do will be to shorten the
: plans by about 10mm.
: To shorten the plans I intend to just decrease the distance between each
: station on the offset tables by 10mm.
: Will this be OK.
: TIA
: Jon

You could always butt join the panels using glass "tape" at the joints. I did this for my Merganser 16.
