Jimmy,

I build a Shearwater Boats Merganser, and the foot brace plans that you reference were part of the plans package. I built them with minor modifications, and I'm very happy with how the came out. The angle of the brace is very comfortable, and I like having a large flat surface to put my bare feet on. The adjustment is easy, but does require you to reach under the spray skirt if you are using one.
