Take Spidey's advice........it is fast and cheap and you will always have a nice flat surface upon which to work. If you use stones, you will eventually have to dress them to get them flat again.......a time consuming chore. I came accross the site when I was building my canoe. I had better results in less time, and it is a lot cheaper than stones. garland
