I plan to re-deck my old CLC Cape Charles this winter by removing all deck fittings and cutting off the coaming. I'll be able to build right over the existing deck then remove and glass aka true strip building before cutting off the old deck and replacing. If you go this intended route of yours please post your discoveries as we will be doing basicly the same thing.
