First I would like to thank the ones that gave me good suggestions and advice, I really appreciate it and thought that was what forums like this one was all about, again my thanks.

To the ones that were condemning and outright rude, I would like to say, I am not an engineer, designer, or boat builder, just a retired man that had an idea he wanted to build a canoe. I also thought if I could look at a set of plans I could find out if I was capable of building one and could figure how much it might cost. The plans I had seen advertised ran about $90.00, and I didn't want to spend $90.00 to find out if I was capable or not, I had no intention of stealing anything, I had no idea that a license was required, canoes have been around for a long time, why would I think you needed a license. All I wanted was to see how hard it was going to be and than I would decide what kind and style I wanted. I thought forums like these we to help each other and share information.

I would like to apologize to the ones that emailed me and those who thought I was trying to steal from the designer, and being a cheap S_B, I had none of those intentions. I was just trying to educate myself and I have found many forums in other fields where the members enjoyed sharing information. So to those I offended again I apologize, to those that was helpful and gave me good advice, thank's again.
