After seeing Spidey's laminated-glass hatch lips built using Vaclav's technique, I just had to try it. (thanks, Spidey!) A few days ago I made one for the fore hatch of my SK S&G, and it really turned out nice. Since the deck panels where the hatches are installed are perfectly flat, I was able to build the lip "offline" using a piece of plate glass as the building surface. Worked great.
