Jed,

I'm a first time builder working on a 17' Pygmy Arctic Tern. I live in Washinton and visited Pygmy several times prior to buying the kit. They have a variety of hard chine and multi-chine designs. (I've only seen one CLC boat and have never paddled one.) I found the Pygmy folks to be extremely helpful and patient with questions prior to purchase. Since I've started building, I haven't had the need to call for advice or clarification, so I can't comment directly on after purchase customer service. Reports on this board and Paddlewise all seem positive for both companies. The Pygmy instructions are brief and complete, if sometimes oddly worded. Following the recommended sequence will save work and headaches as I found when I tried to ad lib a couple of times.
