I wanted to post one final note, thanking all the bro's for their help and advice through our boat building journey. Heather and I just completed a Ches. 18 and a Pygmy Arctic Tern. No doubt, an amazing experience. I loved seeing how different the methods were, yet how incredible each boat ended up. Unfortunately, neither boat will see the water for another three months. We finished them around 11 pm, and the next day they were on a truck to arizona, to await the "transition" stage of our expedition.(we leave on August 1st for montana, and the trailhead of the Great Divide Bike Route). Please check out our website for the beta on our expedition, and i'll try to get a photo of the finished boats up there as well. thanks again, gentlemen. It was a real pleasure, and i can't wait to do it again!!! see you in January...
