oh... now I understand.

don't take it too hard. I had been known to ask such questions.

it started with Rehd's "punt !" (that's something with football, too long for me to explain)

then it was LOL - Lough Out Loud,

& now "FWIW".

but anyway, now, that I know what you mean, HAM2C (Here Are My 2 Cents) 8-)

I was also curious about the floatation of a plywood kayak. some people here said it floats by itself, but I was skeptic, I mean, come on ! this thing has epoxy & glass all over it, & then some more epoxy in the seems, endpours, etc' . so I never went out without floatation bags.

few weeks ago the tip of my Coho got me angry, so I killed it !

well. I cut 2" of it & covered the area with peanut butter leftovers.

the piece I cut was alittle plywood, covered by some glass & filled with peanut butter (end pour). I thought there's no way this thing is going to float !

I was wrong !

It floated in the kitchen sink.

I made sure there are no air bubbles trapped in there.

I was quite surprised.

I still don't go out without floatation bags.

TWM2C (these where my 2 cents)
