Ross,

A couple of years ago I built a 6 hour canoe using 5mm luan plywood from home depot. I taped the seams and used Pettit marine enamel to finish it. The boat held up well untill I flight tested it at 55mph going down 101. I could have repaired it but the materials for the repair would have cost more than it cost to build, and it would have taken a whole lot more time to fix than to build. Total cost for the project was about $55. Bob
