Hi Dean,

Thanks for the concern. Actually, I asked the seller to send me a swatch ahead of time so I could test it. The swatch worked great and I was really excited because it was 50x50 8 harness (as best I could tell). Realy fine weave and draped beautifully. Unfortunately, the roll I received was plain weave 18x18. It wasn't quite bait and switch, because the guy called me ahead of time to tell me that all rolls weren't the same. I was bummed, but luckily the cloth I received wet-out fine too, and the price was too good to pass up.

A couple of other guys on the board got in on the dutch aution too: Chris Casazza and Nolan Penny. Hopefully they've had a chance to make use of their 100 lb. rolls.

: Ross,

: I was just perusing your site's section on the s&g you're building and read
: about the deal on 7.5-oz. fiberglass cloth you got on eBay. I was also
: remembering that fiberglass cloth needs to be treated so that it'll work
: with epoxy. Was this cloth from a reliable source? If not, a test is
: probably in order before 'glassing the hull...

: (thought I'd ask here on the bulletin board in case anyone else comes across
: alternate sources for 'glass)
