Specify "D-Select Western Red Cedar", which is virtually knot-free. For example, you might say something like: "I would like 120 lineal feet of 1" x 6" D-Select Western Red Cedar".
Just use the lineal feet and board dimensions you've determined you need. Be sure to inspect the boards before purchasing them, to be sure you are happy with color, grain orientation, defects, etc.
