I dont like the insurance idea, i myself trust/like insurance companies not at all and would rather take a loss of a few bucks than have to talk to them. CLC would probably wind up eating this if i complained enough but I am not blaming anyone here.

I do like the paint idea, am thinking I might dare to paint the thing white, but only after removing the incipient rot.

Now that you mention it, does anyone do wild paint schemes, you know, teal with purple wave splashes?
