Don't forget to add in the weight of the kayak as weight that will displace the water.

If you, your kayak, and gear all weigh 215 lbs, you'll sink to the level of WL=0. There is also a sinkage number given in lbs/inch ratio that for any given additional weight you can figure out how much farther you'll sink.

: Hi, the DWL Displacement for the Guillemot is given as 215 lbs. I weigh 125
: lbs. Does this mean that the boat can carry up to 90 lbs in gear ??
