Peter,

You'll need to get some non-adhesive-backed velcro -- you should be able to find some at a fabric store. My Pygmy kit came with non-backed velcro to hold the Therm-A-Rest sport seat to the hull. I epoxied the hook part on the floor of the kayak and contact-cemented the fuzzy part to the seat.

: David: I didn't glue the velcro down with epoxy as it came with a
: self-adhesive backing, so that's all the adhesive that was used. The
: surface is plenty rough, however, as it's fiberglass but without the weave
: thoroughly filled.

: Are you suggesting I use epoxy to glue down the velcro strips? I've got
: plenty left over and would be happy to use that if it's the right adhesive
: for the job.

: Peter
