In Response To: blush vs. thinner (Tom preska)

Blush can be removed with alcahol, lacquer thinner, acetone or soap and water. Solvants can just smear things around so I like ammonia and water. See the string earlier this month about fish eyes.

: After taping my inner seams, I used thinner to clean up the packing/ duct
: tape residue on the out side of my exped. It cleaned up all of the blush
: that was apparent on the boat (east system epoxy). Is this a good thing? I
: know you are supposed to clean it off with soap and water. I will probably
: wash it before varnishing but will I need to?
