HOWDY TO ALL, I JUST FOUND THIS SITE THANKS TO MONTY, THE WEBMASTER OF THE TOTALLY TEXAS MSG BOARD. MY NAME IS JEFF BUT MY FRIENDS CALL ME BREW. I LIVE OUTSIDE OF HOUSTON, TX & FISH THE GULF COAST FROM SABINE TO PORT A MOSTLY WADEFISHING.I AM CONSIDERING BUILDING MY 1st YAK AND WOULD LIKE ADVISE ON WHAT TO BUILD. I HAVE LOOKED AT SEVERAL MODELS IN THE CLC CATALOG AND I AM LEANING TOWARDS THE MILL CREEK 15 OR 16.5 WITH THE 16.5 BEING MY PREFERENCE. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE PADDLE THIS MODEL? ANY COMMENTS? ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS? THE PRIMARY USE OF THIS BOAT WILL BE FISHING, PROBABLY WITH EITHER MY SON OR WIFE ALONG. I'M LEANING TOWARDS THE OPEN COCKPIT FOR EASE OF ROD STOWAGE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, EASE OF RE-ENTRY FROM THE OFTEN DEEP GUMBO MUD BOTTOMED BAYS. SEEMS LIKE THE OPEN DESIGN ALSO HELPS AS FAR AS CLEANING & MAINT. AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK HERE? IF NOT, COULD SOME OF Y'ALL SHOVE ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY & ALL INPUT.

LATER,

JEFF
