I FINALLY got around to doing the fillets and taping for the hull of my North Bay last week. When it came time to cutting of the wires on the outside, I wanted to cut them as flush to the hull as possible to reduce the amount of sanding. Instead of spending gobs of money for a set of precision wire cutters, I used a pair of straight-cut toenail clippers, $1.99 at Sally Beauty Supply. They cut the the copper wire cleanly and quickly, with no nicking of the blades.
