Fraying ends of fiberglass cloth

Am getting closer to finishing my Arctic Tern, and haven’t applied the cloth to the deck yet, but after my experience glassing the inside of the hull, I am a little worried about fraying of the cloth ends. When I did the inside of the hull, the cloth ends at the overlap tended to fray and leave messy filaments of wetted fiberglass thread. That may be acceptable for the inside of the hull, where it will be covered by the Thermo-rest cushion, but not on the deck. I’m thinking that the problem comes from the sticky nylon roller picking up loose ends. Perhaps if I wet the deck in those areas first and then lay the cloth on, so that it wicks up epoxy and I don’t have to disturb it much, I could minimize this problem. Any thoughts or suggestions?
