Epoxy doesn't glue to polyethilene bags (tip)

Hi guys!

Maybe this little tip helps someone:

Epoxy doesn't glue to polyethilene bags.

I've discovered this when I had to fight with the drops of water that fell from my workshop ceiling (yes, I know, no electricity, inside raining, freezing temperatures and... WHAT ELSE? DEADLY SPIDERS???).

Anyway. My second coat of epoxy was still uncured and I had to leave. The morning dew would condensate on the iron roof frame and I would have some rusty drops all over the boat.

I wanted to build a little tent but I ran out of duct tape, staples and nails, so I decided to put some plastic trash bags all over the boat (this time I prayed to Mahoma).

Thank God (and Mahoma) two days later I discovered that the polyethilene film bag didn't glue to the, now, cured epoxy. That string of garlic is doing such a job keeping bad luck out of me!!

Bottom line: You can wrap all your messy tools, bottles, squeeges, etc. in polyethilene film bags when they are still wet and uncured and you won't get a mess the next day.

Hope this helps.

Marcelo
