Your problem, George, if I may say so, is that you only see issues as black-or-white. If you build a boat using the 'standard' book methods, you will kill yourself. If you build in your residence, you will become an invalid. Instead of 'will', insert the word 'might.' And a slight 'might', at that. You seem to have the only interpretation of the MSDS's, but they are, by nature of the varied circumstances that the products will be used under, not absolute. Each case is different, and unless you have the medical knowledge of exactly how many ppm's is too high for whatever chemicals are being breathed, and the equipment to make the measurements in my living room, you're grasping at straws.

From p.45: "Respiratory Protection: Normally none is required when adequate ventilation is provided. In the absence of proper environmental control NIOSH approved respiratory is required..."

I don't think that you or anyone else can determined what 'adequate ventilation' is. I think that moving fresh air in and out of my apartment with a couple of fans is adequate. You don't. Neither of us can win, beacause neither can prove his side. Your interpretation is just as 'creative' as mine.

And as to my neighbors, my building is water-heated, so there is no air transfer between units, save when people enter or leave their apartment. You are right that it is not my right to affect their health. There is no good reason to think that I am affecting my own health, living in the workshop, much less their health, isolated from it.

: Your reading of your reference is creative at best.

: You will note that this thread dealt with using epoxy inside of a residence,
: a house or apartment.

: If the children in the household and/or the people in the adjacent apartment
: have not become sensitized to epoxy, they will. Further use will affect
: their health.

: In any case, IT IS NOT (Y)OUR RIGHT TO AFFECT THEIR HEALTH.

: Do your work where and how you wish but NEVER tell people to affect the
: health of others in a negative way.
