Hi Heather :)

Have you done much river kayaking? The reason I ask is that the Sea of Cortez has one of the worlds fastest currents. I have spent much time down there fishing. We have used a 45hp motor on a 16'fishing boat and been pushed backwards by the current. Going out and coming in and both will take you where you didn't want to go very quickly. Not to say don't do it, but, be aware of the times and stay close to shore when the tide is moving. If you fish at all, by all means, do so, as it doesn't get much better than down there. Have a great time. Take lots of water, cause you definitely can't drink what's on the S.o.C. side. No Power and No fresh water unless you take it. That's from San Felipe on down to around L.A. Bay. After that, there is more population and some better facilities. Also, watch out for banditos. :)
