Re: To stretch the ends or not to stretch the ends

: I did that too. Main rationale: it's a lot easier to move forms you've
: already plotted out an additional 3/4" from each other than to scale
: all the offsets and re-plot the end forms. Not that it's impossible, but
: it's not convenient. I think you could put the offsets into an Excel
: spreadsheet and have it spit out the "stretched" end form
: offsets with relative ease. If I had my offsets in a spreadsheet in the
: first place, I'd have done that, but I plotted points directly in cad, so
: I didn't have that luxury. I also couldn't do a 1-axis scaling in the CAD
: package I was using. I have ACAD 2000 now, so it would be easy! heh heh

: Hey--it's still cold here--somebody send us some of that 90*F heat! I need my
: rolling pond to warm up in anticipation of the launch of my new boat!

We have ACAD 15 or 16 here at work so I'm not too up to date but I would imagine that it would work. I may have to get those offsets from the book inputted in.

The 90F heat sucks for everything but yaking. Building is too hot in a house with no AC and building in the living room upstairs. It is gonna rain all wkend too - so lots of building time though to tape the seams and such. Temps now are back to nice 60-70F although rain prevents me from yaking or biking- just building....

great discussion by the way. much thanks and I should get my butt in gear to print those stations for the CAD guys here at work to print out on nice big D size papaer.
